Miami’s next generation of philanthropists gathered to “Party for a Cause”
Voices For Children’s fundraiser, Party for a Cause, brought out some big names in the Miami community whose generosity and support made this 2016 event an unique experience—combining fun and philanthropy. Event chairs Vince and Deborah Castro and Angel and Lynette Ferrer charmed the audience and kept the energy levels high during the Saturday night party held at Coconut Grove’s The Loft on April 30, 2016.
Unlike other community fundraisers, this event sought to encourage the next generation of philanthropic supporters, who came out in record attendance to support the cause. More than 250 people helped raise over $50,000 to benefit Voices For Children and aid in the organization’s mission to enable volunteers to support and advocate for the children in foster care. Such an incredible feat could not have been accomplished without the help of presenting sponsor Brown & Brown, Inc and the generous support of Bacardi, Pasta Factory Company, Angel and Lynette Ferrer, NLB, Bioheart, Inc., Jeff and Yolanda Berkowitz, FIU Athletics Department, David and Hilary Gershman, Greenmonkey, Goldman Sachs, Kaufman, Rossin & CO., P.A., Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables, Regis HRG Group, Michael and Diane Rosenberg Family Foundation, Shaham Family Foundation, Templeton Family Foundation and Wells Fargo Insurance Services.
For Vince Castro, the Party for a Cause was an amazing night filled with fantastic energy. “It was a night of excitement and dancing among a crowd of fun and animated supporters partying for a cause. We could not have done it without our sponsors, board members, Voices staff, and our friends at Bacardi! I can’t wait for next year’s event, which will be bigger and better. Get ready. Daale!”
Voices For Children would like to extend their gratitude to all those who participated in making this event a success and ensuring that Guardian ad Litem volunteers have the tools and means necessary to continually improve the lives of children in foster care.
