Voices For Children Foundation, along with presenting sponsor Stearns Weaver Miller, served as host to over 350 attorneys, judges, elected officials, community leaders and volunteers at the 25th Anniversary Be A Voice Luncheon held on Friday, October 25th at Jungle Island. In addition to raising awareness about the realities children in care face, the organization honored veteran Guardian ad Litem, Rita Widom Swichkow, who has dedicated the past 38 years to advocating for children in the Miami-Dade County foster care system. The event raised over $140,000 for the non-profit. Former Local 10 News anchor Laurie Jennings served as the emcee.
