Daniela Camejo

KINDship Navigator

Daniela, most commonly known as Dani, was born in Cuba and immigrated to the United States during elementary school. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows her to connect with and support families from diverse backgrounds. Dani earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University (FIU).

Before entering the child welfare field, Dani worked as a teacher for two years. During that time, she had several students in foster care and witnessed firsthand the challenges they faced within the system. Those experiences deeply impacted her and inspired her to pursue a role where she could advocate more directly for children. Feeling limited in how much she could support her students as a teacher, Dani went on to work with the Guardian ad Litem program as a Child Advocate Manager, where she focused on ensuring that children’s voices and best interests were represented.

Now in her role with Voices For Children Foundation, Inc., Dani assists kinship families in stabilizing placements and supporting long-term permanency for children, helping caregivers access resources and guidance to create safe, stable, and nurturing environments.

Outside of work, Dani enjoys spending time with her baby girl, reading romance, fantasy, and thriller novels, and exploring the outdoors. She is also a passionate football fan and proudly supports the Miami Dolphins — go Fins!
