Max

At Voices For Children, we believe that every child deserves a safe, stable, and loving home. For Max and her three siblings, that journey wasn’t easy. But with the right support, they made it back to each other.
Max entered the foster care system due to her mother’s struggle with substance abuse. She was placed in a group home, while her siblings were split between two different homes. The separation was hard, but their mom was determined to bring them back together. She worked through every court-mandated program, committed to making real changes in her life. But when it came time to reunite the family, a major hurdle remained. She didn’t have stable housing or enough resources to bring all four kids home.
That’s where Voices For Children stepped in.
Once reunification was approved, Max’s mom decided to relocate to Central Florida to be near extended family and a stronger support system. It was a fresh start in the right place, but the costs of moving were high—nearly $6,000.
We knew this move was the key to keeping the family together. Voices For Children covered the moving expenses to make sure Max, her siblings, and their mom could start their new life together in a safe and stable home. We also provided beds and bedding so that each child would have a comfortable space of their own.
We’re proud to have been part of their journey—and we’re here for the next chapter, too.
