Cole and his six siblings were placed into the foster care system after their parents struggled with drug addiction.
But for Cole, entering the system didn’t immediately bring the change he hoped for. He continued to face the deep scars of trauma, running away from multiple foster placements over the next three years. Throughout this period, he moved through five foster homes and three group homes.
