Zimmermann, the Australian born brand started by sisters Nicky Zimmermann and Simone Zimmermann, hosted a shopping event benefiting Voices for Children at its Design District location. Maria Maloof and Lauren Harrison Brown, in collaboration with Voices CEO Kadie Black, took the lead in opening the store’s doors to stylish friends and supporters, as a portion of the proceeds went toward the ‘Comfort Crusaders’ project, which helps provide for foster children dignity items, such as pillows, blankets and hygiene supplies.

Boys And Girls Clubs’ New Board Appointments

Longtime Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade supporter and former Norwegian Cruise Line President and CEO, Andy Stuart, who is currently an advisor and board member serving a number of companies inside and outside of the travel industry, has been named chair of the Club’s Board of Directors. He will serve in the position for a two-year term. “I am thrilled to have long-time Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade supporter Andy Stuart join as our Board Chair,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade President Alex Rodriguez-Roig. “and welcome several new leaders to our Board of Directors. Each of these individuals are highly respected and essential members of the Miami-Dade community and dedicated to our mission: To inspire and enable young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.”

Mad Hatter Brunch At Isabelle’s Grille Room

The Mad Hatter Brunch featuring luxurious brunch dishes and cocktails created by Gio Gutierrez is open at Isabelle’s in the Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove – a garden of lush greenery serving as the backdrop of any fantasy and certainly one worthy of an Alice in Wonderland offshoot. Only until May 28th, the theme borrowed from the storybooks is serious about fantasy and decadence, with a limited cocktail menu featuring: the Jabberwocky, a Negroni Sbagliato Twist with Grey Goose Essences Strawberry, Lemongrass, Martini Bitter, Martini & Rossi Sweet, Vermouth and Prosecco; Down the Rabbit Hole, a Floral & Shaken Gin drink with pineapple juice, lemon and blackberry jam; and the Through the Looking Glass, described as a ‘mojito meets an old fashioned with Havana Club Rum 86 Proof, Lime Sour, Can Sugar and Mint Essence. For main courses, there’s Challah Bread French Toast with chocolate hazelnut spread, strawberries, banana and vanilla bean whipped cream. The Garden Benedict is antyhing but classic, served on hand-breaded green tomatoes and topped with applewood smoked bacon along with the poached eggs and hollandaise. The spring watercress is a garden favorite with sesame crusted Ahi Tuna, avocado and greens. The Dessert Carousel arrives on a mini version of the apparatus for which its named and features black forrest torte, chocolate marble pavlova, a coconute tartlet, exotic caramel tarte and a crème brûlèe & banana tarte.

Fairchild Hosts The Bunny Hoppening

Yes, our spell check is fully functioning, it’s just that Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is once again hosting The Bunny Hoppening, so families can experience a day of springtime fun in the Garden. There are live music performances, Eggsplore Galore – a hunt for treat-filled eggs – train rides, face painting, spin art, bubble bunny hop dance parties, storytime, games with prize giveaways, and more.

Adults, they’ve got you covered with special mimosa flights – 4 Mini Mimosas with the flavors Blueberry Lavender, Cotton Candy, Raspberry Bellini, The Naughty Peep – and other signature cocktails at the Le Basque Bars. There’s also an Adult Picnic Basket for $65 – choice of two baguettes, from Roasted Vegetable with Fresh Herbs, Grilled Portobello Mushrooms with melted Brie and Baby Greens Drizzled with Herbed Vinaigrette, Sliced Thick Honey Glazed Ham, or grilled herbed chicken breast, salad panache with assorted vegetables, hearts of palm, and artichoke hearts. Crudité platter with dip, Waldorf Salad made with cubed apples blended with walnuts, celery, and raisins, and fresh fruit salad. The basket also comes with Fairchild’s Famous Carrot Cake, assorted Easter candies, and bottled water. And a basked for kids ($20) with a ham slider made with honey glazed ham and imported Swiss cheese, a fresh fruit cup, chips, chocolate Chip Cookies or Walnut Brownies, Easter Candies, and bottled juice.
