Be A Hero Luncheon

Voices For Children Foundation, a beacon of hope for children and youth experiencing foster care through advocacy, essentials, and transformative experiences, brought the community together for our 29th Annual Be A Hero Luncheon, co-presented by Stearns Weaver Miller and Gilded Group Decor.

On Friday, October 31, the Loews Coral Gables Hotel transformed into a true hall of heroes as nearly 500 superheroes — from The Thing to Scarlet Witch and beyond — assembled for a day filled with impact, inspiration, and heart.

Together, this incredible league of supporters helped raise vital funds and awareness to support more than 1,400 children in foster care across Miami-Dade County. Their continued generosity ensures that these children receive consistent advocacy, essential resources, and opportunities to dream beyond their circumstances.

One of the afternoon’s most moving moments came as we shared how, with the support of The Lopez Family Charitable Foundation and donors like you, 11 youth who aged out of care and three kinship families have now moved into safe, stable homes. These are the real-life hero stories you make possible — stories of healing, growth, and hope.
