Be A Voice Gala
2026 Be A Voice Gala: Bloom Where You Are Planted
Thanks to the extraordinary leadership of our 2026 Gala Co-Chairs, Henry & Nilda Torres and Vince & Jennifer Castro and the entire gala committee, and the incredible generosity of our community, the 2026 Be A Voice Gala raised critical funding to support children and youth in foster care.
Held on Saturday, January 10, at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, the evening—aptly themed Bloom Where You Are Planted—was a powerful celebration of resilience, growth, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, no matter where they begin.
Together with our dedicated supporters, we advanced our mission in meaningful and lasting ways. While the gala marked a milestone moment, the work continues, and there remains an opportunity to invest in the future of children and families served by Voices For Children Foundation.
The evening also honored two extraordinary champions of our mission. Commissioner Vicki L. Lopez received the Be A Voice Award in recognition of her unwavering advocacy and leadership on behalf of children and families, including her instrumental role in securing critical funding to support the youth we serve. Longtime board member Jay Shapiro was presented with the Legacy Award, celebrating nearly three decades of dedication, guidance, and generosity that have helped shape Voices For Children Foundation into the organization it is today.
Relive the Magic of our 2026 Gala
The success of the Be A Voice Gala would not be possible without the continued commitment of our Be A Voice Annual Members and Event Sponsors. We are deeply grateful to our Gala Committee for their dedication and leadership, and to Gilded Group Decor, whose thoughtful and inspired design transformed the space into a living expression of this year’s theme.
