Ivonne Dorrego

Ivonne Dorrego is the Deputy Chief Credit Officer at Amerant Bank based in Coral Gables, Florida. She has been in the banking industry for over 25 years and brings with her an extensive finance background including Corporate and Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Lending and Credit Risk Management experience. Ms. Dorrego joined Amerant Bank in June 2015. She began her banking career in 1997 at Ocean Bank, were she worked until 2014, as the bank’s Credit Risk Manager. 

She holds two degrees from Florida International University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Management, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and a Master of Science degree in Finance.

Ivonne was drawn to Voices For Children Foundation through the personal experience of a family member who was adopted out of the Florida Child Welfare system. Seeing firsthand the importance of representation and the powerful impact the Guardian ad Litem Office has on the lives of children in need inspired her to get involved. She joined the Board of Directors in February, 2024.
