@7:00pm and once again, the team is all dolled up and ready for another event, but this event promises to put the “FUN” in fundraising. Party For A Cause is not your typical fundraiser. There are no check ins, table numbers or silent auctions; no plated dinner or event program or donation ask. What we do have is a high end, high energy club like experience at Coconut Grove’s The Loft, an industrial party space that thanks to the team has turned into the Party For A Cause Lounge for one night only. And what a night it was! The event gathered Miami’s hottest, young professionals slated to become the next generation of philanthropists.
This year’s event was chaired by Voices For Children Board Members Vince & Deborah Castro and Angel & Lynette Ferrer and Christopher Gonzalez-Jacobo and was generously brought about by Presenting Sponsors: Brown & Brown Insurance, TotalBank, Gold Sponsors: The Russell and Ronalee Galbut Foundation, Silver Sponsors: Angel and Lynette Ferrer, David and Hilary Gershman, Templeton Family Foundation, Michael and Diane Rosenberg Family Foundation and U.S. Stem cell, Inc, and Stearns Weaver Miller.
As you enter the room, you immediately get the sense that this is going to be an exciting night. Along the long foyer, we’ve rolled out the red carpet. As you walk in the hall there are lovely ladies in painted on LBD’s holding trays of the evening’s signature cocktail “Banana Tropical Rum Punch” created exclusively for this event by expert mixologists courtesy of Bacardi, the evening’s liquor sponsor. DJ Dago spins high energy beats as people pour in and soon the room is a buzz with beautiful people ready to party!
“Our second annual Party For A Cause 2017 was a super animated evening with an overriding theme of partying to not only help the kids that are most in need in our community, but to raise awareness for our cause. Many thanks to both our returning and new sponsors, our board members and our incredibly dedicated staff at Voices that helped make this a very successful event. We look forward to planning for an even bigger and better event next year!” – Angel Ferrer
Some guests dance while some enjoy themselves snapping fun pics in the photo booth. Others choose the more laid back atmosphere in the lounge area where tasty bites are being served by the Pasta Factory. But every square inch of the space is filled with the spirit of people united to make a difference in the lives of Miami’s abused, abandoned and neglected children.
Photographs from the event can be viewed online here.
