Gail Appelrouth’s background in Social Work and Child Development led to her first job as a foster care caseworker. She has been a part of the Board of Directors since 2006. Gail is a huge advocate of the Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL). According to Gail, “GAL volunteers are the most objective observers because they have no bias when it comes to deciding what is in the child’s best interest.” Gail believes that helping these children now will create the next generation of compassionate community leaders and professionals.
“I want to see all children in Miami-Dade County as happy and healthy and be allowed the same opportunities as my own children and grandchildren.”
