Members of the Miami-Dade community are coming together for the third consecutive year to help about 500 children in Foster Care get ready for the new school year. Thanks to generous donations from the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation and the MoneyGram Foundation, these children will get the chance to purchase new school uniforms and new shoes with partners Old Navy, at the Shoppes at Dadeland, and Sports Authority Dadeland Station. Each youth will also receive sackpacks with some school supplies, courtesy of the Office Depot Family Foundation.
Voices For Children’s Back To School event will take place on August 11, 2013, from 6:30-9:00pm at the Old Navy at 7220 N Kendall Drive; Miami, FL 33156. Immediately following their uniform shopping experience, youth are invited to their second shopping spree for shoes at Sports Authority Dadeland Station. Guests must be pre-registered and the event is not open to the public.
