Be A Voice Gala
Voices For Children (VFC) celebrated 40 years of service in spectacular fashion at its Be A Voice Gala on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami.
The evening was filled with inspiring moments and incredible generosity. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception with a silent auction, featuring Gérard Bertrand wines and signature cocktails by No. 3 Gin and Tito's Vodka. The excitement kicked off with a Tree of Hope Drawing for a Vespa Piaggio, generously donated by Warren Henry Automotive. A delectable dinner followed, leading into a dynamic live auction that raised over $170,000, featuring coveted items like a Hästens Maranga Bed from Hästens Miami, a Smile Makeover by Dr. Oscar Sanchez from Apa Aesthetic, and lux getaways with stays at Mandarin Oriental's Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Canouan destinations.
A powerful testimonial from a young person whose life has been impacted by VFC brought the organization's transformative work into sharp focus. Miami-Dade County Mayor and VFC co-founder Daniella Levine Cava delivered an inspiring speech, underscoring VFC’s vital role in the community. The night culminated in a high-energy dance party with Miami’s own DJ Zog, following performances by "Modern Piano Man" Louis Middleton and America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Yoli Mayor.
The funds raised will directly support advocacy efforts and provide essential needs and enriching experiences—from everyday necessities like braces and school supplies to transformative opportunities like college tours and mission trips—offering stability and a sense of normalcy during a challenging time.
The 2025 Be A Voice Gala Committee was chaired by Michael Block, Ronald Goncalves, and Gabriela Ibarra, with Erin Michelle Newberg serving as the auction chair.
